Mt Fyffe is the inland counterpoint to Kaikoura's marine life. The track climbs into the Seaward Kaikoura Range, with views that take in the peninsula, the coast, and the high country behind town.
The summit is a long day walk, but many walkers turn around at the hut or a lower viewpoint. Conditions can feel alpine even when the coast is mild, so bring layers and check the forecast before setting out.
