Air New Zealand is the only airline serving Niue. Flights operate from Auckland, with a journey time of just over three hours. There are two flights per week in the peak season (roughly April to October) and one per week in the off-season — always check the current schedule before planning your trip, as it changes seasonally.
Niue International Airport (IUE), also known as Hanan Airport, is just a few kilometres north of Alofi. Most accommodation providers offer airport pickups; arrange this in advance as there are no taxis waiting.
All visitors entering Niue must have a confirmed return or onward ticket — you cannot buy a one-way flight to Niue. Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond your arrival date. Most nationalities are granted a visitor permit on arrival for stays up to 30 days, provided you have a return ticket, confirmed accommodation, and sufficient funds.
If you are coming from outside New Zealand, your journey will route through Auckland. Make sure you meet New Zealand's entry requirements as well.
By sea, Niue has a small harbour at Alofi. Private yachts are welcome; contact the port authority in advance. There is no regular passenger ferry service.
