Tachogna Beach

Tachogna Beach on Tinian's western coast is consistently regarded as the best beach on the island and one of the finer stretches of sand in the Northern Marianas. The water is clear and calm, protected by a fringing reef, and the beach itself is broad and white. On most days you will have it almost entirely to yourself — a genuine rarity for a beach this good.

The reef just offshore offers decent snorkelling, with coral and fish visible in the shallow water near the beach. There are no facilities to speak of, so bring water and sunscreen. The access road is unpaved but passable in a standard rental car.
