Tinian punches well above its size when it comes to historical and natural attractions. The island's WWII legacy dominates — North Field and the atomic bomb pits are among the most sobering and consequential historic sites in the Pacific. But Tinian also rewards those who look beyond the war: the ancient Chamorro latte stones at the House of Taga predate European contact by centuries, Tachogna Beach offers some of the clearest water in the Marianas, and the surrounding reef is excellent for diving and snorkelling. With so few visitors, you will likely have most of these sites to yourself.
