Ngerulmud

Ngerulmud is the official capital of Palau and one of the smallest national capitals in the world — essentially the cluster of government buildings on a hill above Melekeok. The capital moved here from Koror in 2006 when the new capitol complex opened.

There is no town, no shops, no hotels. Just the Capitol of Palau, the surrounding lawn, and a couple of administrative offices. It makes for a quick stop on the round-island drive.
