The Etpison Museum was founded by the family of Ngiratkel Etpison, Palau's third president, and houses a private collection assembled over decades. The objects — money beads, dance regalia, war clubs, navigation charts — overlap with those at the Belau National Museum but are presented with more design care, and the labels read like they were written by someone who genuinely cares about the material.
Upstairs is a strong collection of underwater photography from across Micronesia and the wider Pacific, which makes a useful complement to a dive trip. There is also a small shop with locally made storyboards, which is one of the few places in town to buy the real thing rather than airport reproductions.
