The Jewish Cemetery of Krems was established in 1880 and later became a memorial to the town's Jewish community. Its most striking feature is a long metal memorial by Hans Kupelwieser naming Jews from Krems who were killed in the Holocaust.
The cemetery is a sober stop outside the prettiest parts of town, but it adds important context to the history of Krems beyond its old gates, churches, and wine culture.
