The Piarist Church, also called the Frauenbergkirche, stands above the old town and is one of the oldest churches in Krems. The climb from the centre is short but steep, passing through narrow lanes that quickly leave the shopping street behind.
Inside, the church is a late Gothic hall with later fittings, quieter than the main streets below. The real pleasure is the approach and the view back over the roofs of Krems toward the Danube and vineyards.
