The last of Wels' four medieval town gates to survive — the other three were demolished in the 19th century. The Ledererturm stands at the western end of the Stadtplatz, a sturdy tower of brick and stone dating from around 1610. It's not open to the public, but it remains one of the landmarks that anchors the old-town skyline.
