Icheri bazar is an old quarter dating from the early 18th century, with tiled houses and traces of fortress walls. Russian troops restored parts of the walls in the early 19th century, adding another layer to the settlement's borderland history.
It is best treated as a short heritage walk rather than a single monument. Look for the older houses, wall fragments, and the compact street pattern.
