Mogilev Town Hall is the city's civic landmark, a tall tower rising from the old centre near Leninskaya Street. It is a reconstruction, but an important one: the original late-17th-century building symbolised the city's self-government under Magdeburg law.
Inside is a small city history museum, useful if you want context before wandering the centre. Even if you skip the exhibits, the tower gives Mogilev a focal point that many Belarusian cities lost during war and Soviet rebuilding.
