Bastogne sits in the Belgian Ardennes, roughly 160 km southeast of Brussels. There is no direct rail connection — the nearest train stations are at Liège and Luxembourg City. From Liège, buses run to Bastogne but take the better part of two hours. The most practical approach for most visitors is by car: the E25 motorway from Liège takes about 50 minutes; from Luxembourg City, take the E26 north.
