Hergé Museum

The Hergé Museum is the reason many travellers come to Louvain-la-Neuve. It follows Georges Remi, better known as Hergé, through the creation of Tintin and his wider work as an illustrator, designer, and storyteller.

The building matters almost as much as the collection. Christian de Portzamparc's design sits by Parc de la Source like a bright, angular object from a comic panel, and the galleries move through original drawings, models, personal objects, and changing displays. Even if you are only casually fond of Tintin, it is a polished and very Belgian museum.
