This is a retired canal boat moored along the Bocholt-Herentals canal near Sas III — Lock 3 to non-Dutch speakers. It is not actually a tall ship, despite the name, but a converted working barge that has traded its cargo for a kitchen and a dining room. Eating here means sitting on the water, which adds something that no amount of interior decoration can replicate.
The Sunday buffet is the main draw, and it is worth planning a visit around. The menu otherwise runs to solid Belgian cooking, and the setting does most of the work anyway. If you are in Mol on a Sunday and have any appetite at all, this is worth the small detour from the town centre.
