Nieuwpoort does not have its own train station — the nearest is Koksijde, about 6 km west, with regular trains from Brussels, Ghent, and Bruges (change at Lichtervelde or Diksmuide). From Koksijde station, De Lijn bus lines 68 and 69 run to Nieuwpoort centre and the marina in 15–20 minutes.
The famous Kusttram (Coast Tram, line 0) — at 68 km the longest tram line in the world — stops in Nieuwpoort-Bad and links the town directly to Ostend, De Panne, Knokke and every coastal town in between. It is the most pleasant way to arrive if you are already on the coast: trams run every 10–20 minutes in season.
By car, Nieuwpoort is just off the A18/E40 motorway between Ostend and the French border. Parking in summer can be tight near the beach; the marina car parks are usually a safer bet.
