By train
Ostend is well connected to Brussels by direct trains (around 80 minutes) and to Ghent, Bruges, and Antwerp with one change. The station is in the centre of town, five minutes' walk from the seafront.
By ferry
TransEuropa Ferries runs freight and passenger services between Ostend and Ramsgate in the UK. The crossing takes around four hours. Book in advance in summer.
By car
Ostend is at the western end of the A10 motorway from Brussels. From Bruges it is 30 minutes via the A10. Parking is plentiful along the seafront in winter; in July and August the underground car parks fill quickly.
