This museum is the necessary companion to the broken bridge. Its exhibits cover the Battle of the Neretva, also called the Battle for the Wounded, when partisan forces tried to save thousands of wounded fighters while Axis and Chetnik forces pressed from several directions.
Expect photographs, documents, uniforms, weapons, and the tone of an older Yugoslav memorial museum. Even if the displays feel dated, the site outside gives them force.
