Pliva Waterfall is the sight that defines Jajce: a wide curtain of water dropping where the Pliva meets the Vrbas below the old town. Few Balkan towns place a major waterfall so directly into the urban view, and the combination of fortress, stone houses, and spray gives Jajce its drama.
Come early or late for softer light and fewer people at the viewpoints. The waterfall is also a useful starting point for understanding why Jajce has always been strategic: water, cliffs, and defensible heights all meet in one compact landscape.
