Stari Grad Visoki

The actual medieval fortress on top of Visočica hill — the kind the modern pyramid theorists tend to ignore. What survives is mostly the outline of the curtain wall, a ruined tower, and the foundations of the king's hall, but the position is unambiguous: a natural acropolis with views over the entire valley.

Reached on the same path as the pyramid excavations. There is no entrance fee at the top; the site is unfenced and unmanned.

A story
Visoki was the principal castle of the Bosnian kingdom for over two centuries. It is mentioned by name in 1355 as the seat of Stjepan II Kotromanić, and remained in use until the Ottoman conquest of 1463. The ruined walls on the summit are one of the few unambiguously royal-Bosnian sites in the country.
