The Igrište ski area sits in the hills above Vlasenica, a modest winter sports facility serving the local population and visitors from the surrounding towns. The terrain is gentle by Alpine standards — this is not Jahorina — but it functions as a proper ski centre with lifts and ski runs, and in a good snow year it offers a perfectly reasonable day on skis.
Prices are very low by western European standards, which makes it popular with Bosnians from Tuzla and Sarajevo as well as locals. The infrastructure is ageing but serviceable. Outside ski season, the same hills make for decent walking through mixed forest. The area is not marketed internationally, which means you will have it largely to yourself.
