One of the sea garden promenade's established open-air cafes, Morski Sviat — "sea world" — occupies a terrace overlooking the Black Sea with a clear view south along the coast. In summer it opens by mid-morning for coffee and stays open until late; the crowd shifts from families and pensioners in the afternoon to a younger mix in the evening. The setting is the main attraction: a warm night, a cold Zagorka, the sound of the sea.
The drinks are standard — beer, local wine, spirits, coffee — and nothing is extraordinary, but that's not really the point. This is the particular pleasure of Varna in summer: sitting outside on a terrace above the sea with the city behind you and nothing urgent to do. The promenade has a string of places like this; Morski Sviat is a reliable one that doesn't feel put on for tourists.
