Sark is reached by ferry from Guernsey. The fast service takes about 50 minutes; a slower conventional ferry also runs. There are no services on Sundays. Timetables change seasonally — check the Isle of Sark Shipping Company website before travelling. Day trips are possible but you will need to arrive early and be back at the harbour for the last ferry.
There is no airport on Sark. The only way in or out is by sea.
From the harbour (Maseline Harbour) the path up to the island is steep — a short but sharp climb. Tractors haul luggage up the hill for accommodation guests. Bicycles can be rented at the top. The island's own tractor-pulled carriage service offers a more leisurely option.
