Korčula's coastline is mostly pebble and rock rather than sand, with small coves tucked between pine trees along the southern shore. Pićena Cove, reachable only on foot or by boat, is the pick of the hidden beaches for anyone willing to walk in. Lumbarda, at the island's eastern tip, has the closest thing to proper sand.
