Galija sits inside a fifteenth-century stone building near the cathedral, with vaulted dining rooms and a small terrace on the lane outside. The menu is Mediterranean Croatian — Adriatic fish, šurlice, lamb peka, Istrian truffle pasta when in season. The seafood platter and the lamb under the bell are the dishes most often ordered.
It is on the higher end of Krk-town prices but still nothing alarming, and the setting alone justifies the visit. Service is friendly and the wine list leans heavily on island producers, including several Žlahtinas from Vrbnik.
