The outdoor terraces on and around the main square are the obvious place for coffee, and on a fine Sunday they are buzzing with the weekly promenade crowd. Order a bijela kava (white coffee) and take your time. A local tradition worth trying is samoborska muštarda — a mild, slightly sweet mustard made in the town for centuries — which you can buy as a souvenir in several shops around the square. The cafés here are more about atmosphere than cocktail lists; come for the people-watching and the setting.
