Samobor's main square — Trg kralja Tomislava — is the heart of town and the natural starting point for any visit. Pastel 19th-century buildings line its edges, their ground floors given over to café terraces and kremšnita shops. A small stream runs alongside one side, and on Sundays the square fills with families, cyclists, and day-trippers from Zagreb. Livadić Manor on one side of the square occasionally hosts classical concerts. It is a genuinely pleasant place to sit with a coffee and a slice of cake and let an hour or two drift by.
