Parish Church of Saint Michael

Baroque church on Žminj's main square with a separate medieval bell tower

The parish church of Sveti Mihovil stands on the central square of Žminj, a 17th-century baroque building paired with a freestanding bell tower from a much older medieval church on the same site. Inside there is a heavy carved-wood altar and a small organ; the doors are usually open during the day.

The chapel of the Holy Trinity, a few steps away in the cemetery just outside the village core, has rare 15th-century frescoes worth asking the parish office to unlock if you have a particular interest in medieval painting.
