Emauzy Monastery, also known as Emmaus Monastery, is a Benedictine abbey founded by Charles IV in 1347. Its Gothic core survived centuries of change, while the sharp twin concrete spires are a postwar replacement after heavy bombing in 1945.
The mix of medieval monastery, Slavic liturgical history, and modern reconstruction makes it one of New Town's more unusual church visits.
