A whitewashed Gothic parish church at the top of Vestergade, with a stepped gable tower and a small graveyard. The current building dates from the late thirteenth century, though much of what you see is a heavy nineteenth-century restoration. Inside, the carved altarpiece from around 1620 is the main attraction — a Renaissance work attributed to the workshop of Hans Gudewerth.
The church is usually open during the day outside services. The walk up Vestergade from the harbour passes the prettiest stretch of pastel-coloured townhouses in Sakskøbing, so this is the route worth taking.
