Kabli Nature Reserve covers about three square kilometres of coastal meadow, reed beds, and pine forest just north of the village. It was established to protect critical resting and feeding habitat for the migrating birds that pass through Pärnu Bay every spring and autumn — geese, cranes, waders, ducks, and small passerines. A wooden boardwalk trail loops through the reserve and connects to the bird station and observation tower.
The reserve is small enough to walk in an hour but rewards a slower pace, especially in early morning or at dusk. The mix of coastal habitats packed into a tight space means you can see meadow species, reed-bed species, and open-water birds within a few minutes of each other. Free to enter; parking at the bird station trailhead.
