A 9 km loop trail follows the entire shoreline of the Käsmu peninsula — out from the village along the eastern shore to the tip, then back along the western boulder coast. The path is well-marked, mostly flat, and shaded by pine and juniper. The eastern half is the easier walking, on sand and pine needles; the western half is where the famous boulder fields start — glacial erratics the size of small houses left here by the receding ice sheet.
Allow three to four hours for the full circuit, plus stops for swimming and a picnic. In late summer the forest is full of blueberries and chanterelles. The trail is part of the wider Lahemaa National Park network and connects to longer routes along the coast.
