The Church of St. John is a 17th-century Estonian church near Viljandi's old centre. Its plain exterior gives little away, but the spacious interior, wooden ceiling, and older fittings make it more rewarding than it first appears.
It is close to Viljandi's castle ruins and museum, so it fits naturally into a short walk through the historic core.
