Bøur is about 4 km west of Sørvágur by road and 10 km from Vágoy Airport (the Faroe Islands' only airport). By car from the airport, allow 15 minutes. There is no direct bus connection, so a hire car or taxi is the practical option unless you're already in Sørvágur and willing to walk.
From Tórshavn, drive or take the bus to Sørvágur (via the tunnel under Vestmannasund), then continue by car along the coastal road to Bøur. The full journey from the capital takes about an hour.
