The Gemstone Exhibition is a selected continuation of Kemi's old gemstone gallery, now housed in the SnowCastle365 complex. It mixes Finnish geological material with polished stones, jewellery, and replicas of royal pieces, including Queen Elizabeth's crown and Marie Antoinette's necklace.
It is an odd attraction, but that is part of its appeal. Kemi's best sights are not subtle; they are icebreakers, snow rooms, crowns that never quite belonged here, and a town making the most of northern winter.
