Kemi Church

Pink Gothic Revival church that gives central Kemi its clearest landmark.

Kemi Church is the central landmark: a pink, twin-spired Gothic Revival church from the early twentieth century, standing out sharply against snow and low northern light. It is a quick visit, but it gives the otherwise practical town centre a clear point of orientation.

The church is most photogenic in winter, when its colour reads almost unreal against the white ground. It works well as a short stop before or after the SnowCastle area.
