Ukko-Luosto is the fell above the resort and the most direct way to understand the landscape. The summit route climbs from Luosto Gate through forest and onto open ground, where the views spread over the chain of old fells that make up Pyhä-Luosto National Park.
The route is short enough for a half-day, but the climb is real, especially in winter or wet weather. In clear light it is the best simple walk in Luosto: no long transfer, no complicated logistics, just forest, stone, and sky.
