Archipelago Boat Trips

Day trips and cruises into the Turku Archipelago from Naantali harbour.

The Turku Archipelago is one of the largest in the world, with tens of thousands of islands stretching south and west from the Finnish coast. Naantali sits at its eastern edge, making it a natural departure point for boat trips. A number of operators run day cruises from the harbour, ranging from short loops around the nearest islands to longer trips stopping at island villages for lunch.

The archipelago is at its best in June and July, when the light is extraordinary and the vegetation on the smaller islands has a brief, intense greenness. Some trips head to Väski adventure island. Others follow longer routes toward the open sea. Even a short cruise gives a sense of the scale and strange beauty of a landscape that is more water than land.
