The Cellier des Princes is the only cooperative winery in the Pays d'Orange area and brings together around 370 growers cultivating vineyards across the Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes du Rhône and Pays d'Oc appellations. Unlike many top estates in the appellation, the Cellier des Princes welcomes drop-in visitors and offers tastings and sales without an appointment.
This makes it the most accessible entry point into the wines of the area, particularly useful if you are driving through. The cooperative produces wines at several price levels, from everyday Côtes du Rhône up to their Châteauneuf-du-Pape cuvées. The shop also sells local olive oils and other regional products.
