Mulhouse punches above its weight as a museum city. Three world-class specialist museums — the Cité de l'Automobile, the Cité du Train, and the Musée de l'Impression sur Étoffes — justify a trip on their own, and the old town has enough character to fill a day around them. The Mulhouse Zoo in the south of the city is also one of the better ones in France.
