Regional trains run from Bordeaux toward Saint-Émilion, with the station below the town among the vineyards. The walk uphill into the centre takes about 20 minutes; taxis are limited, so pack lightly.
Driving from Bordeaux usually takes 40 to 50 minutes outside peak traffic and gives more freedom for vineyard visits. Parking is outside the medieval core, which is exactly as it should be.
