Saint-Émilion station sits below the medieval town among the vines. It is not a sight in itself, but it matters because it makes the most famous Bordeaux vineyard day trip possible without a car.
The walk from the station to the centre is uphill and takes around 20 minutes. In hot weather, that first climb is enough to make you grateful for every shaded lane once you reach the old town.
