Chartres is easily reached from Paris Montparnasse by direct train in under an hour — trains run frequently throughout the day, and the journey is short enough that Chartres works well as a day trip. The station is a 10-minute walk from the cathedral. By car it is about 90 minutes from Paris via the A10 or A11, with parking available near the cathedral.
