The Halle Saint-Thibault is Epernay's 19th-century iron-and-glass covered market, a smaller cousin of the great Parisian halles of the same era. The structure was built in 1890 and still functions as a market on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, when stallholders from the surrounding villages set up with cheeses, charcuterie, vegetables and fresh fish.
Outside market hours the building is sometimes used for exhibitions and events. The Place Hugues Plomb in front of it is a pleasant central square with cafe terraces.
