The Eglise Notre-Dame stands at the western end of the Avenue de Champagne and is one of Epernay's main landmarks. The current building, completed in 1925, replaces a medieval church destroyed by shelling in the First World War.
The interior is bright and surprisingly modern, with stained glass added through the 20th century. It only takes ten or fifteen minutes to look around, but it is a useful starting point for a walk along the avenue.
