Perrier-Jouet

Founded 1811, famous for the Belle Epoque flower-decorated bottle

Perrier-Jouet has been blending champagne on the Avenue de Champagne since 1811, but the house is best known for the floral anemone design that decorates its prestige Belle Epoque cuvee — the painted-glass bottle, designed by Emile Galle in 1902, became one of the icons of the Art Nouveau period.

Tours of the cellars are smaller and more intimate than those at Moet and need to be booked in advance. The house style is Chardonnay-dominated, lighter and more floral than the Pinot-led blends of some neighbours, and is poured at many of France's grandest restaurants.
