A 45-minute outdoor show staged in a purpose-built medieval theatre on the southern side of the upper town. The cast — a dozen riders and a couple of dozen extras — perform jousting, archery, falconry, sword combat and stunt riding to a thin storyline about a knight's quest. It is unabashedly aimed at families with younger children, and on those terms it works well.
The horsemanship is genuinely good, the falconry uses live birds, and the small medieval village around the theatre stays open before and after the show. There are usually two or three performances a day in summer, fewer outside high season. Buy tickets in advance — performances often sell out, especially on weekends.
A second show, Les Aigles des Remparts, focuses on falconry and uses a separate arena near the ramparts.
