Latin Church of the Assumption

Cargèse's Latin-rite church facing the Greek church across the village.

The Latin Church of the Assumption stands opposite Saint Spyridon and completes the sight that makes Cargèse memorable. Its pale facade and square bell tower are simple, but the setting gives it force: one church for the Latin rite, one for the Greek Byzantine rite, both looking over the Gulf of Sagone.

Visit both if the doors are open. Even from outside, the pair tells the story better than a plaque could.
