The Greek Church of Saint Spyridon is the more unusual half of Cargèse's famous church pair. Built by descendants of Greek settlers, it keeps the village's Byzantine-rite identity visible in a part of Corsica where most churches follow the Latin tradition.
Inside, look for the iconostasis, the screen of icons separating the nave from the sanctuary. Outside, the best view is across the little valley toward the Latin church, where the two traditions seem to answer each other over the rooftops.
