The church of Saint-Pierre stands at the heart of the village and is one of the better-preserved Romanesque buildings in the Alpes-Maritimes hinterland. Its origins go back to the 12th century, though the interior has been modified repeatedly. The bell tower is the most distinctive exterior feature, visible from the road below as you approach.
Inside, the proportions are simple and the decoration modest — this is not a pilgrimage church loaded with baroque ornament, but a working village church that has outlasted most of the community it once served. The nave holds some medieval frescoes in varying states of preservation. The church is generally open during the day; if you find it locked, the mairie can sometimes arrange access.
