The most spectacular natural sight in the Fraisse-sur-Agout area, the Saut de Vésoles is a powerful waterfall plunging from the plateau edge down to the valley floor. The cascade is visible from a distance and audible long before you reach it.
The approach follows a signed path from the village, descending sharply through chestnut woodland via the famous Chemin des 1000 Marches. The full circuit, descending to the base of the falls and climbing back up via the lake above, takes around three hours and is best done in dry weather when the stone steps are less slippery.
